The intention behind describing the logo is to give the readers an idea about the experience that they will be having in Ascent College and also an idea about our credence and ideologies.

The logo is represented by a 'Mortar Board', commonly referred as a 'Graduation hat', where the intention behind it is to describe the graduate level education that will be provided at Ascent. On the other hand an alternate objective behind it is to illustrate that we intend to mould students from various strata and background into qualified and respectable professionals.

The other images given in the bottom section of the logo is to describe the streams in which we impart knowledge, all of those can be integrated to represent 'The field of Science', covering numerous fields so that the students are eligible to exhibit and practically apply their knowledge in innumerable fields.

Finally the philosophical aspect of the logo depicted by the pen and its gradual conversion into bright shining sunlight is that we strongly believe the famous quote that 'A Pen is mightier than a sword', and that the power of the pen which eventually means the knowledge that our student will acquire will eventually help them to Shine brighter than others in the world, creating a name for themselves, and reaching the pinnacle of their chosen field.

About Trust

Akshar Multipurpose Social Trust was founded in the year 2007. Through this trust we aspire to work for the betterment of the society in numerous ways, where the objective is to provide quality education to the kids in the rural areas, giving them an equal opportunity and a platform, to represent themselves in the best way possible and also to learn and succeed. The trust and the people working for it, have a common goal of building good and ideal citizens, so that they can live a respectable life and be of service to the society and nation.

About Ascent College:

Ascent College, affiliated by 'Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar, Solapur University', is located in South Solapur in Kandalgaon. It is a College for Bachelor of Science, established under 'Akshar Multipurpose Social Trust'. The intended goal for the formation of this College is to provide the students high quality graduate level education in the field of science, making them eligible for a multitude of job and research opportunities in various fields. Being spread over a wide area, Ascent College provides the student a calm and peaceful atmosphere, with lush green campus away from any form of disturbance. Along with that we also strive to deliver high quality education from erudite, knowledgeable and experienced Faculty. For the ease and comfort of the students coming to us from different and faraway places, we provide safe and secure transport facilities as well. Proper care is taken regarding the security of all the students in every possible way. Considering the issues that students from far-aware places face, we provide hostel facility as well. With clean and healthy food provided to the students in the canteen, fresh cooked meals in safe and clean facility, we work to thrive for the comfort and tranquillity of students.

1. Provision of Career Hubs:
We acknowledge that students who apply for graduation, don't always have same goals in regards with their career, this is why we have introduced the concept of Career Hubs, where all the students will be provided with professional help and guidance. For example, we have 'Government Service Hub', 'Research Hub', 'Placement Hub', 'Entrepreneurship Hub', where students will be provided with all the necessary help with respect to their choice of career.

2. Memorandum of Understanding (MOU):
Considering how important it is to start a career as a fresher in a good and reputed industry, we are working to bring different opportunities to the students who are a part of Ascent College. We have signed MOU with different organisations and companies to provide our students with great opportunity to acquire an internship or a job in a respectable company. Through our 'Placement Hub' we aspire to achieve this goal that is to see all our students getting their shot to work and excel.

3. Hands on practice and Practical based learning:
In this competitive world, we strongly believe that having good hands on practice and practical knowledge is extremely necessary. So along with Good theoretical knowledge, we are committed to provide the students with internships, assignments and project experience of various concepts for their better understanding.

4. Soft skill and Personality Development sessions:
Let it be a private company job, a government job or any other field, a good personality is a crucial part of self-representation. At Ascent we acknowledge this fact and its importance and aim to provide the students with personality development sessions and soft-skill training from skilled professionals.

5. Extra & Co- Curricular and Social Activates:
To help build confidence and personality and a strong resume, we aim to provide the students with a platform to represent their hidden talents, through Extra and Co-Curricular activities. All these activities help students to develop their management skills, self- confidence and through the social activities the students comprehend the importance of social service and develop empathy towards numerous aspects of the society.

6. Sports club and health:
Physical fitness and sports are an important part of personality building. Sports not only give an individual good health but also refresh their mind, cultivate sportsmanship and team spirit. We acknowledge this point and have made provisions for the students to represent themselves in different sports. Giving them a platform and coaching from trained professionals.

7. Dedicated Staff and well equipped Laboratories:
The most important feature about an institute is its teaching and facilities. At Ascent we made sure that the students are provided with the extremely dedicated and experienced staff for their respective subjects and also provide with well-equipped laboratories for the students to get hands on practice and a clear understanding of the concepts.
